I think your oil sensor is fine.
the problem.....the tech at my dealer used to overfill N63 engine maybe due to so many customers complaining oil-level low after 2-3k miles after service. but overfilling will kill CCV. Now after the customer care package campaign(where they replaced both my CCVs, MAF etc) they don't do it any more.
and of course my turbo coolant hoses start dripping slowly. It just never ends with this N63 V8. BMW V8 is still cursed all the way to Nikasil alloy thingy, amazing. No wonder Honda never builds a V8
