At 58K miles, you should be able to get a "power train plus" warranty from BMW directly, for cheaper or about the same cost. I would encourage you to consider Route 66 (Talk to DCU - www.dcu.org); based on the mileage and model year of your car, I *think* you'll be able to purchase the "easy street" plan for your vehicle (BMW Platinum equivalent, if you add in the enhanced electronics coverage), all for well under what you're about to pay your dealer.
