It sucks that USA is probably the most restrictive. And, they still do do checks on your car, not full smog checks, though.
For now, I might go with the JBT, unless anyone knows of a reprogram/tune that allows me to delete the smog hardware and be able to put back to stock quick for warranty/maintenance issues.
I went and talked to my old friend/owner of the shop and he is down for me building stuff for the X5d. He was shocked that there isn't a big market for it. At least we will increase the size of the exhaust pipes. Maybe no mufflers. We'll see. I need to measure the clearance up front for a FMIC and add one, weld brackets, and weld piping. I should hopefully have it done in around a month when I head back to the bay area.
Does anyone know of a company that does a full cold air intake? Instead of just a K&N drop in?
